about
Bordge — one of the most prominent bands of Moscow underground scene — is breaking three years of studios silence with their uncompromising new single The Wavering. In this track the band sings about crippling curse of perfectionism — the reason for both their long hiatus and triumphant return.
Band's sound is a kaleidoscope of various guitar music styles. Their songs house the melodism of QOTSA and Cave In as well as intensity of Converge and The Armed. Post-hardcore, noise rock, stoner and shoegaze — Bordge's music encompasses elements from all of these genres, yet is not dominated by any of them.
Popular webzine Metalsucks repeatedly emphasize band's unorthodox sound calling them a mixture of Biffy Clyro and sludge metal.
In January 2016 the band released their previous album Fatigue praised by both Russian and foreign music media. LP was followed by Triumphant single in 2018. After three years of silence the band is finally back with their catchiest material to date.
lyrics
THE WAVERING
Chains you put on yourself
Won’t let you ascend
Won’t let you rise above all the noise
Inaction’s weighing you down
Doubts crushing your back
Fear’s ringing clear with shattering voice
You fight clouds over your head
Curse at the all-seeing sky
Blaming the sun for its dazzling light
You wait for a day to end
For the moment to come
To bury your guilt under favor of night
Still it’s shining bright
Let yourself win
Just for a change
Just take a new breath
You should give in
Unless realize
Perfection is death
Leaking the wounds of mistakes
You wish you never made
Haunted by past you try to erase
You won’t find your peace
In hesitation’s embrace
Can’t cover your tracks when you run from yourself
